    Pros

Good working environment. Laid back culture at the Chino location, Brea office is different. People are nice and helpful. Free water and coffee.

    Cons

HR doe not take suggestions seriously. Huge disconnect between corporate office and warehouse personnel. No raises or reviews periodically and without notice.

    Advice to Management

Share knowledge of information with employees relating to lack of reviews. Profit sharing is not equal among employees.

I worked at ViewSonic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Because of the disarray of the database at Viewsonic, I was always challenged to find creative ways to accomplish tasks and deliver on requests.

    Cons

Reporting to the Channel Marketing Manager (or any sales role for that matter) is not a desirable structure for an IT position. In Viewsonics case, the manager was a big mirco manager and never gave specifics about what he wanted, resulting in a high level of frustration between myself and him.

    Advice to Management

Have the sales dept. worry about sales, and IT worry ab out IT. SalesForce.com is a sales tool, but it is managed and owned by the IT dept, so please get the sales dept. out of the picture.

I have been working at ViewSonic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fairly open workplace, flex hours and telecommuting available. Opportunity to take real ownership of your position and duties. Not much micromanaging. Good work/life balance.

    Cons

No consistent strategy or direction. Opinions dominate decision-making rather than real facts and figures. No accountability for underperformers. Expectation to do more with less. Below market value salary. Too much complacency with long-tenured employees. Lots of talk about progress and moving forward but no action taken. No respect for process or procedure.

    Advice to Management

Be advocates for your employees and be sincere about their well being personally and professionally.
