      Their hearts are in the right place and they stay true to their mission statement and core values.

      Cons

      Government and private funding can be limited which makes it hard for them to compete in the direct care environment

      Flexible with schedules, understanding staff at the main offices, a chance to learn and grow.

      Cons

      Co-workers can be quite unprofessional/unethical and create a negative environment for both employees + clients.

      I worked at Villa Esperanza Services full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

      -Clients are always a joy to work with -Time phrase is convient 8am-3pm -weekends off

      Cons

      -lack of communication with management -lack of essential supplies for daily activities in classroom -lack of professionalism -disrespectful staff -some staff are just there for the pay check -there is no possibility to ever get a raise unless its a state rise that the state does every year -the pay is terrible for the abusive comments, thoughts and day to day situations that management makes staff go to -favoritism...

      Advice to Management

      management needs to recognize that without the staff in the program they wouldn't be able to make it on their own, every staff is the back bone of the program. With that being said they need to learn and appreciate their staff more, and listen to what they have to say. Villa has lost a handful of very good hard working employees because of management.       The clients are great in the homes. Some are more independent than others

      Cons

      Some of the staff is unreliable. People do not always come in for their shifts or they come in super late. No repercussions for this either

      hire better staff.

        I worked at Villa Esperanza Services

        Pros

        - Not super hard. - Some houses have clients that are very independent, not much to do there. All there is to do is to help clients with breakfast, wash dishes, do some laundry, clean up after each meal, and pass out meds. That's all there is to do and make sure clients are safe and hygienic. Shifts are weekday 6-9am, 2-8/2-2-10pm, 10-6am. Weekend: 6-2pm, 2-8/10pm, 10-6am for ICF Houses.

        Cons

        - Minimum wage with no possibility of raises. - Co-workers are very lazy. Not much gets done and houses are very dirty. - Although it's not a super hard job, it's very HIGH RESPONSIBILITY. - Management could care less about you. Poorly managed organization. Most houses are poorly managed. Management will hire anyone who is interested because no one wants to work there for $9/hour. So there are a lot of lazy people...

        Advice to Management

        Treat your loyal employees with respect and listen to them. Pay them what they deserve or else Villa's residential program is going to suffer and close one day. You people make it hard to go to work every day because the work environment is so bad, unorganized, and unproductive. People who work here for 4+ years do it for the clients, not for the pay.
