I worked at Ville de Quebec as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

It has been a really helpful start in my career and I've met great people. I have had a good experience working there.

    Cons

Temporary contract. Also I did not program as much as I wanted. Work was separated by department and some things were set in stone and difficult to change.

    Advice to Management

Hire full time employees and don't fear change, new ideas and even risky ones. Go ahead and hire young people as their insight on technology might save you millions.

I worked at Ville de Quebec part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Dynamic and respectful environment with nice people
Nice growth opportunity and really good conditions

    Cons

You can get stuck in the bureaucracy and sometimes it is frustrating. It is public work so there are a lot of layers in the hierarchic chain.

    Advice to Management

Give more space to the employees and trust them
Give more dynamic formation to increase employee cohesion

I worked at Ville de Quebec full-time

    Pros

    Advice to Management

I worked at Ville de Quebec as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    Advice to Management

    Advice to Management
