    Pros

    Clothing allowance
    Lots of growth
    Fair pay

    Cons

Upper management was lazy- you end up doing their job

    Advice to Management

Rework DM positions. My store didn't even have a store manager but had 2 ASM. Leading us to do the job of a SM but being paid as an ASM

I have been working at Vince full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Discount and clothing allowance help you build a pretty awesome Vince. Clothes. The upper management is great best DM I've ever had!

    Cons

High turn over rate need to keep more people in their stores. They need to help their new key holders develop more when it comes to management skill. How to talk to associate and be constructive while helpful.

I have been working at Vince part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is decent. The hours are good and there really is not a lot of micromanaging from outside the district.

    Cons

Executive management is very bad and the stock is below one dollar. Corporate is more concerned with trying to protect themselves from lawsuits by hiring people who has a relationship with someone in corporate rather than promoting or hiring outside based upon merit and results.

    Advice to Management

Management at the corporate level really needs to check their hiring practices and review retaliation allegations seriously. Hr tends to retaliate against the whistle blower first.

I worked at Vince part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved working for the company Vince, cool sophisticated clothing, outgoing and energetic employees and overall great place to work. Pros are sales commissions! Work hard and receive bonuses often.

    Cons

Store can be slow during certain seasons making it more difficult to receive sales commissions, but hourly pay is good for a retail position.

I have been working at Vince full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits that are in-line with current trends. Company pays for short term disability insurance which now covers 100% of your salary. This includes maternity leave, as well. Insurance reimburses you for gym membership.

    Cons

Lack of leadership, corporate culture, and too many egos. As the saying goes, "too many chiefs, not enough indians." This is true of Vince. There's too many VPs of this, senior VPs of that, senior directors of etc. etc., but they're all useless. Nothing but fancy titles and empty promises. It's a giant revolving door here and the company can't seem to keep it's employees employed because everyone either leaves after a few months, or they're forced out by someone with a fancier title and bigger ego. The company is hemorrhaging money left and right. They brought back the original founders as "consultants" and paid them both beaucoup bucks. They left halfway through their consulting contract. Can you guess why? TOO MANY EGOS. The company's stocks are worth less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks now. Sad to see what was once a great company with a great corporate culture turn into the state of disarray as it is now.

    Advice to Management

Fire the CEO (Hoffman) and the CFO (Stefko). They're steering this ship to the ground.

I worked at Vince full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Clothing allowance
    - Work life balance
    - Company has potential to grow id the right people are fitted for the corporate roles.

    Cons

    - Numerous inexperience people in various corporate roles who consistently make poor decisions that sends the company tumbling.
    - Refusal to listen to store level management about technical or product issues. Easily dismisses issues that needs immediately attention.
    - By not addressing issues head on, problems begin to pile on top another. Problems start from corporate end and trickles down to store level.

    Advice to Management

    - Positivity is needed to foster an environment of growth. But forcing positivity and refusing to acknowledge the growing number of issues will only continue to sink the ship. It is unfortunate because this company has the biggest potential of any company I have ever work for.

    Pros

It was an easy job. Retail is retail and it's like any other position.

    Cons

Upper management doesn't care about its employees or respect a healthy work life balance. They penalized me for being in grad school and needing my schedule accommodated

    Advice to Management

Board members should clear the team and start over with new management across departments

I worked at Vince (More than a year)

    Pros

None, they overwork you, under pay you and to top it off don't appreciate anything you do on a daily basis for the company.

    Cons

Worst company I've ever worked for. They DO NOT CARE AT ALL about their employees.

    Advice to Management

Start investing in your employees and giving a damn about them then maybe your turn around rate wouldn't be so high!

I have been working at Vince full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits; clothing discount, allotment, 401k...etc Corp communication has gotten a lot better since the change with the founder, Christopher, he is more involved in the brand. You can feel the passion. SVP, does bi-weekly walk throughs in the city and NA. Everyone is very invested in the brand and the growth, always wanting feedback

    Cons

on occasion the workflow seems unrealistic with the transfer turnaround. Company switched over to a new system in the summer, most stores in the NA are having "glitches" with the system, and learning how to use it properly .

    Advice to Management

Keep on touching base with the managers, continue to support them and understand the new MPOS system. You can't lecture if you don't know it yourself...
