    Pros

Very holistic and understanding of personal circumstances. They encourage the hiring of people dealing with similar issues as the clients they serve.

I have been working at Vinfen full-time for less than a year

    Pros

People are nice. Lower level management is helpful and understanding. Person centered culture.

    Cons

Mandatory on call is terrible. Paperwork is incredibly repetitive and neverending. A month in, I was behind on my documentation, but seeing all my clients and making progress. I was informed that the LPHA role was not really intended to provide clinical care, it was just to use the license to rubber stamp the work actually being done by underpaid outreach workers. Even before COVID, I would often go months without actually seeing many of my clients in person. I spent a tremendous amount of time talking ABOUT clients with their families, group home staff, outreach workers, hospitals, psychiatrists, etc, but next to none actually interacting with them directly. I am essentially an office worker that generates masses of emails, documentation, and phone calls about hypothetical clients that other people tell me about. Everyone is underpaid, turnover is constant, everyone is constantly behind on their work. No team is fully staffed, and they keep telling you "this is just coverage, until we get more staff", but by the time someone new comes in, someone else has left, so it's an endless, pointless, joyless crisis.

I worked at Vinfen full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Important work, Fantastic clients and mostly fantastic diverse colleagues. There is room to advance based mostly upon performance. The benefits are also really good considering field.

    Cons

Leadership in the mass mental area (Boston) is widely known throughout the company to be terrible. Largely impersonal, policy driven, absent, yet strangely intrusive and will micromanage certain situations usually in a reactive manner. Leadership claims to use the Socratic Method to supervise which basically amounts to embarrassing you in front of your colleagues. The vindictive nature of MMHC leadership all adds up to a culture of back stabbers, and sycophants getting promoted while the regular or long term employee is scrutinized for performance. Also the CEO puts on a great performance once a year wheee he pretends to listen to you and your concerns and does nothing. He meets with staff cause that is what the anti-union consultants told him to do.

I worked at Vinfen full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The clients were awesome, and you get to learn how to navigate around Boston

    Cons

Management is terrible. You could be brand new and they won't train you. I had to be trained by my other coworkers or learn things on my own. And they don't care if you are brand new, they will still take corrective actions on you within the first two weeks of you working even if you don't know what you're doing. Supervisors constantly have their doors closed and never make themselves available and never are willing to give you feedback. There is also a clear favoritism amongst people and it's an entirely cliquish environment. The quota system that's also in place is nonsense. They will force you to abandon working with clients that are more in need too. Plus they're so short staffed that you'll end up overworking yourself.

    I worked at Vinfen full-time

    Pros

The best thing you can do is not work there. Research, research will reveal it all.

    Cons

Everything, everything, everything, everything, everything. Repeat. Corporation never listen, never change, never own up to a long horrible history and repeat it over and over again. High turn over is off the charts and will remain so. Hiring surge is no coincidence. Don't do it.
