    Pros

Wonderful place to work at. Great environment, great bosses. I've learned so much from working at Vintage and am very sad that the company has sold. I will miss everyone dearly!

    Cons

none other than the fact that I wish the company would still be around.

I worked at Vintage Senior Living full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is adequate. Interacting with the residents and talking with them is a daily pleasure. Staff that has learned how to tough it out are very supportive of one another. Good support from Director and local Regional Managers.

    Cons

Little to no help staffing the building from the corporate recruiting office. Insurance was very expensive with high deductibles. Front line dining staff and support positions are woefully underpaid. At the end of the day, everyone is just trying to make a living, and they have to be paid a decent wage other than minimum wage to retain people. I was hired a little over a year ago. This company knew of an impending sale yet said nothing when recruiting me. Worst mistake coming to work here.

    Advice to Management

Pay your front line staff a decent living wage. The front line is the backbone of your organization, respect them for grinding it out everyday and making Vintage successful in helping seniors. Be honest when dealing with your managers. Shame on you for being deceptive.

I worked at Vintage Senior Living (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Supportive supervisors and co-workers, good compensation and benefits, adequate training, great residents and families. Very positive experience. Sorry the company has been sold, too bad.

    Cons

Sold to new owners, which is difficult for all of us. This is an elegy not a review. Goodbye Vintage, it was a good run!

I worked at Vintage Senior Living (Less than a year)

    Pros

Residents and co-workers are a blast

    Cons

Corporate & Facility Managers gave the appearance of being caring &supportive, I found it to be a farce. Overall staff turnover at Vintage is high with the exception of those who know how to grind it out and leave the emotional and financial disaster for others to deal with.

    Advice to Management

Get it together, find out what it means to be a company of integrity, supportive and caring on all levels!

I have been working at Vintage Senior Living full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, supportive upper management, not too top heavy, organized (for the most part-- compared to other senior living companies)

    Cons

Not much room for growth for mid-level managers, work-life balance may take a lot of time to obtain, on-call 24/7

    Advice to Management

    none at this time.

    Pros

Part of a special group of talented people - priceless. Great team of talented and dedicated people in the community. Doesn't always happen but you get what you give in.

    Cons

Constant pressure to surpass goals, lack of appreciation by upper management. Keeping staffed to keep up with growth was challenging and when individual goals trump team goals everyone loses.

    Advice to Management

It's a people business, care for the people who work with residents every day. Better wages for the rank and file.

    Pros

Staff and Residents are the most wonderful, caring and appreciative people I have ever met. To be able to assist the residents with their needs is very rewarding.

    Cons

Certain members of the management are very unorganized, unprofessional, and uncompassionate. Money driven priorities, under payed and overworked employees created an environment of undelivered promises to the residents and unachievable goals for the employees. I have seen some great employees leave because of the management.

    Advice to Management

You are in the Senior Care business. Learn to care! Appreciate your staff with higher wages and professional leadership in your communities. Examine your Executive Directors.
