    Best Airline to Work For...EVER

    Nov 29, 2021 - Customer Service Representative

    Pros

Best Company to work for, I never had a bad experience, I looked forward to going to work every day and I knew that my work family was behind me 100% for any situation that came up.

    Cons

Towards the end, those of us who were able to stick around until the full acquisition took place, was like watching your best friend leave you forever. Every day, more people had left, and what remained was just a skeleton of a company that had been the best in the industry.

Fun and great company, crappy job position

Aug 12, 2021 - Guest Service Agent in San Diego, CA

    Pros

Flight Benefits, A-lot of camaraderie with staff and co-workers, Fun corporate events to attend

    Cons

Flight Benefits on STANDBY, dealing with the front lines of angry and rude people especially during weather delays which seemed constant, not great pay for all that you are responsible for

    BEST Airline!

    Pros

Close knit community great reserve schedules 13-16 days off a month great teammate environment

    Cons

With the good comes the bad... If you commute, it can be challenging since VX does not fly everywhere. Not being able to commute on your own airlines can pose some commuter problems. Watch out for burned out JFK flight Attendants that hate their job- they try to make new flight attendants miserable. Watch out for Megan and her click. ( it's a small base and they know they can get away with it)

    Pros

Virgin America is a great company to work for! From the mood lighting, great uniforms (no ties!) and music at check-in and gates. But now Alaska Airlines are in the process of buying us which isnt a bad thing but I HOPE they bring over everything that makes us Virgin. The AS teammates seem very thirsty for our hip/cool style! I have never dreaded coming to work.

    Cons

Some small typical things of a newer and growing company but nothing unreasonable.
