I’d pass on this one.

May be a good move if you need experience as an instructor on your resume.
Cons
Pay is atrocious. Little opportunity for full time. School is just a money-making scam. As an instructor it is more like you have supervised babysitting. There is tons of pressure to provide easy grades. Students do not work and just expect to be soon fed just a little information for exams. Waste of time. Amount of work you do for very little pay is ridiculous.

Work from anywhere. Courses are pre-loaded. Asynchronous online. Good benefits, up to 6% matching 401k. Relatively autonomous. Doesn't matter what time of day you want to work.
Cons
Quarterly, and not always much of a break between terms - long break between summer and fall, a couple weeks around Christmas/New Years. Not the greatest pay for the amount of required work, but not the worst, either. The bottom line is all that seems to matter to corporate, even though they always say student success is most important. Remember - it's a FOR-PROFIT institution.

Pay was awful especially for the amount of work required

Pros
The best reasons to work here is to attempt to help the students and the people that you meet.
Cons
The company will hire people with promises of advancement which never materialize; it is standard practice and happens all the time. You work with great students who have goals however with such big course loads and such little time to work with or even meet with any of your students faculty members, specifically part time do not even have a place to meet with or provide counsel for students. The money making philosophy allows for classrooms to be vacated ASAP after class to prepare for an incoming instructors and therefore if a student from the class needs help or has questions, as an adjunct, you must talk with your students as you walk down the hall to the next class. The school is modeled to place numbers ahead of student needs. They also retain students who should be dropped for missing so many classes unexcused just to maintain their retention numbers. It looks good on the bottom line however it is bad practice to have a rule in place and in turn have faculty scolded when the students fails in the end. This school is all about numbers and the bottom line. Many of the instructors are hired at the last moment to teach and many have no previous teaching experience. They must hire this way in that the faculty turnover rate at the college is extremely high, good instructors do not stay. There is a great deal of pressure placed on faculty members each when student drops or have absences from class, no matter what the reason for the absence or drop. There is also so much work that must be done outside the classroom for part time faculty, it really amounts to full time work plus, and the pay for part time in no way compensates part time faculty who must work over weekends and late most nights to go home grade papers and prepare for classes, the pay is poor, below minimum wage for the amount of work that has to be done outside the classroom to include reports.

Pros
The staff and management truly care about your well being and do what it takes to have the best team. I loved working here.
Cons
The pay isn't the best for the amount of work you are given.
