I worked at Virtua Health full-time

    Pros

Caring Culture for Patients and their family, but on the decline becoming very scripted and not authentic

    Cons

Organizational Culture becoming very corporate and sterile,. Management is distant from staff and patients

    Advice to Management

Organization on the decline, has become too large too quickly and diluting previous caring culture that allowed past success

I have been working at Virtua Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent starting pay- no experience RN's are offered $32.28 per hour with shift differentials (night shift workers make $35/hr). Nice benefits package. They are trying their hardest to obtain Magnet hospital status.

    Cons

Very competitive to get a job there- every new grad in south Jersey wants to work at Virtua. Interview process is very, very long. Very hard to get a job there unless you have an "in" (i.e. know someone who already works there). Some favoritism.

    Advice to Management

Let some fresh blood in there. Current employees have a little bit too much control over who gets hired (i.e. the panel interviews)- that leads to a lack of diversity.
