I worked at Virtua Health for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good benefits, 401K with match .50 on the dollar up to 6%. Good starting rate for new RNs.

    Cons

Treat senior staff poorly. Pay grade drops off greatly after a few years. All units work short probably 90% of the time. Never enough ancillary staff.

    Advice to Management

Virtua is top heavy with administrative personnel, need more care givers, less pencil pushers! Patients like nurses at the bedside!!!!

I have been working at Virtua Health

    Pros

Good benefits package for full-time employees. Treat employees to meals for holidays and appreciation days.

    Cons

Staffing is generally a problem in most departments. Spends money on things that are unnecessay such as a revolving door.

    Advice to Management

Treating employees well pays off in customer satisfaction. Reducing staff in places such as the cafeteria at night swallows the breaktimes of other employees. Hungry employees are distracted employees.

    Pros

Good benefits, competitive salary, plenty of overtime with bonuses

    Cons

Company doesn't care about your health or well being. Doesn't care if you sleep, eat or pee. Does not provide a safe working environment. Abundant staff injuries that administration will penalize you for
