I worked at Virtus Investment Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Small departments, good mix of investments, benefits, and working environment.

    Cons

Small firm with micro management mentality. Too many sub-advisors, and not enough oversight. Good intentions and the appearance of trust is what is doing this company in. Management should be held accountable for what direction the firm ultimately takes. Mistakes are made at the highest level, and yet the senior management remains?

    Advice to Management

For any publicly traded company, things have to be transparent to a degree. If mistakes are made that hurt the company and bottom line, why are these managers still in place? Replace the CEO,

I have been working at Virtus Investment Partners full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Leaving at the end of day and pay day. Staff are friendly when they have time to talk to you.

    Cons

Management basically micromanage you, but leave you to get on with work, no help or guidance.

If a manager messed up its staffs fault. Very arrogant managers who treat staff badly.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of senior management in Dublin and start again. The don't know what there doing and will run business into the ground.
