I worked at Virtusa full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Virtusa is a premier global business that has a tremendous capacity to drive business value for its customers as well as its employees. The leadership is very good and with the correct push will continue to grow.

    Cons

There are a lot of internal processes that you need to follow to make things work. It is a steep learning curve for new employees

    Advice to Management

Continue to build a culture of communication and focus. The mergers and acquisitions will continue to grow the company!

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Virtusa (Less than a year)

    Pros

For laterals, pay is decent. In some cases, Management gives enough flexibility in terms of work from home, working hours. Generally, everyone is supportive and allow creative inputs

    Cons

Client location Travel policies do not cover all kinds of expenses, although a per diem rate is provided. Internal processes like IT Helpdesk, desk allocation, project allocation, finance department and exit process require streamlining

    Advice to Management

Although senior management is pro employee, one area of improvement could be to take employee feedback in identifying new areas of expansion via existing projects. Senior management is very slow in decision making, thus resulting in occasional loss of potentially new revenue streams

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Virtusa full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Just another IT company doing all the same predictable and obvious things. Talking the same language as everyone else , so no surprises.

    Cons

No real direction. Just one spin after another every quarter. Lack of vision is very apparent. Executive management is weak and has no sense of respect for performers. Very transactional. Employees are not treated as people, just bill rates.

This organisation has completely devalued the respect for titles. Every alternate person is either an EVP or an SVP. It's a joke.

    Advice to Management

Try to retain the good people. Polaris is not the answer to quality. It has more weak leadership than Virtusa. Get the good people to stay and try to really get the ethical behaviour back. We want to stay, but the lack for fairness is making it difficult for us to even consider it!
