Former Employee - Customer Service Representative in Miami, FL

I worked at Visa Inc. full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - good benefits - decent hourly pay - good food at cafeteria - love all the windows, don't feel so caved in like other call centers

    Cons

    - extremely stressful work environment - not enough break times - unrealistic call expectations

    Advice to Management

Be a little lenient and realistic with what you are expecting from our customer service. You shouldn't punish us for taking too long on a call if we're listening and helping the card-member.

    Pros

Cool Brand and leader in payments.

    Cons

Appear to contracting workforce in Foster City Career growth is minimal within this area as they move to cheaper locations. Higher expectations without the willingness to invest in what it takes to get things done can be frustrating Recognition for accomplishments is lacking

    Advice to Management

CEO has a great message, the Executive - SVP levels that don't actually put it into practice or lead by example.

I have been working at Visa Inc. full-time

    Pros

Occasionally challenging work, pockets of dedicated people who work well with others.

    Cons

Office environment is a cross between The Office and Game of Thrones. Get to know your boss and kiss his/her a, or you're in for a very rough ride. Mind bending politics and nonstop email pretty much dictate your entire day. Your only incentive is to avoid getting stabbed in the back by someone you've worked with for years but you don't always see it coming. Pay is below market and exec management is constantly lowering...
