I have been working at Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Philadelphia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The best place I've ever had in my experience. The co-workers are very responsible and the management are always on hand to help at any time. Patients' compensation is their goal and in my experience they blame it. It has very good benefits, as very few companies have it and I do not regret being a part of it.

    Cons

There are some little things like any other company, but for me it is the best company.

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. Work with great patients that truly need care. LPN's are a great asset and aid to the RNs

    Cons

Worst group of management I have ever dealt with. Unrealistic expectations. No experience in the field. A complete joke. Nurses are treated with no respect. We are disposable. They can always find more

    Advice to Management

You are nothing without nurses. Treat them better

I worked at Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Philadelphia as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Being involved in the care management of providing hospice services to ensure that clients and their families have medical and emotional support through the transition of losing a loved one. It makes a difference by relieving some of the stress while aiding closure.

    Cons

Business office could benefit from continued development of their team in terms of coordinating how information is exchanged and establishing written procedures. I'm finding it very common that many business offices tend to procrastinate when it comes to providing the tools and resources necessary to support their office team so they can perform at their best.

    Advice to Management

Develop office staff to enhance their ability to manage information.
