Cons
I spent over a dozen years at Vista, and during the early days, it was an exhilarating and rewarding experience. We committed ourselves and our families to doing whatever was necessary to grow VistaPrint (IYKYK). Many of us would travel and stay abroad for weeks at a time to support the company's international growth. I flew on an Easter Sunday, to ensure we kept to a project schedule. But we were happy to do this, because we were building something remarkable. We were more than just coworkers; many of us have remained close friends even after leaving the company. The first layoff occurred while the company was still prospering, leaving many of us confused and concerned for our laid-off colleagues and their families. Though we questioned the decision, we persisted in our commitment to build and deliver. Subsequent layoffs followed, each one more perplexing than the last, and each time more of our colleagues and their families were left in uncertain situations. By the third layoff in 2017, many volunteered to leave. This week we see more friend and former colleagues posting their goodbyes and asking for assistance in finding new opportunities. While I harbor no resentment towards Vista, I cannot help but feel that the seemingly careless manner in which they let go of their employees indicates a failure of leadership.

Pros
Vista is a WONDERFUL place to work for Remote-First team members. There is a high level of flexibility and trust to work when and where you are most productive. There is a clear vision for the company to be the design and marketing partner to small businesses. Every day brings interesting and complex problems to solve. There is a globally inclusive mindset to the culture and the people are great.
Cons
No cons but Vista it's a dynamic business that is always evolving to meet customer needs. In my experience the company invested, took risks and pivoted fearlessly through a lens of continuous improvement. Individuals that thrive in innovative and changing environments will do well!
