I have been working at Vistage Worldwide full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Awesome culture, driven support team, aligned values and purpose, clarity of short term goals, good leadership team. Great game plan in place to provide alignment and clarity for the support team.

    Cons

Fast paced environment that requires agility. Associates must be willing to have a growth mindset to be successful. High energy and change adaptive individuals tend to be more successful.

    Advice to Management

    Stay focused on the member.

I worked at Vistage Worldwide full-time

    Pros

    - The company culture provides significant opportunities for professional and personal growth.

    - I had the opportunity to interact with and learn from some of the most capable, generous, humble business people you could ever hope to meet.

    Cons

    - Vistage sells to the toughest customers on the planet: time-strapped, CEO's, business owners and key executives.

    - Proliferation of competing organizations and individuals getting certified as Executive Coaches is crowding the market, making it tougher to "break through" in the attention economy.

    - Employees must embrace a torrent of change as management optimizes existing processes and outcomes.

    - Limited opportunity for field employees to advance.

    Advice to Management

    - Address the challenges of Chairs as your product to mitigate the challenges of Chairs as your partner.

    - When it comes to member candidates, experience trumps content.

I worked at Vistage Worldwide full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, good employee learning and development, good concept overall. Dedicated staff.

    Cons

Poor leadership and direction from former CEO (2013-2016) and his hand-selected senior managers who lacked experience led to turn over of loyal and dedicated employees and loss of respect for executive leadership team.

    Advice to Management

Don't try to grow so fast. Remind yourselves if the missionm Listen to your field (Chairs). Give more thought and involve more line folks before a major change is rolled out.

    Pros

Vision and mission are congruent with who I am; the vast majority of the people that work here remain consistent with company values.

    Cons

Long days of intensive hours. Sometimes change initiatives occur before the last change imitative has had enough time to settle in and the impact has been assessed.

    Pros

Great team atmosphere, management led by example and were always open to new ideas. There were a lot of opportunities to move between departments and up the ladder.

    Cons

It is a corporate company, and politics got in the way more than once.

    Advice to Management

Set politics aside when considering projects

I worked at Vistage Worldwide full-time

    Pros

Fabulous group of bright entrepreneurs and leaders. Professional development a priority. Blue chip brand opened doors for new relationship-building.

    Cons

Needed more access to executive management when new programs and initiatives were being considered and rolled-out. More local market funding of sales and marketing initiatives.

    Advice to Management

Continue to support sales professionals in the regions with local marketing budgets and decision-making. Find ways to tell a more compelling story to differentiate Vistage from the many copy-cats which has sprung up in the last 10 years.
