I have been working at Vistaprint full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great work-life balance
    Flexible hours
    Excellent compensation
    Good perks
Hires the best of the best

    Cons

Mixed vision direction (where are we REALLY going?)
    Senior management not paying attention
    Loss of great talent
    Impossible to get anything done

    Advice to Management

Someone dropped the ball so that we need to cut $20-$22-million in headcount, and they likely aren’t about to lose their job. Vistaprint will never be a great company again letting stuff like get past us. I’m honestly shocked it did. With some of the greatest minds, how could this have been allowed to happen? So very disappointed.

I have been working at Vistaprint full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible work schedule. Ambitious, successful and intelligent coworkers. The people here are great. Out of college and already had a large number of important responsibilities - hit the ground running.

    Cons

Limited opportunity for movement and promotion. Agile working environment, but to a fault where reorganization gets in the way of defining and sticking to a working process.

    Advice to Management

Need to define and enable a path for successful movement within the company, especially for younger employees. Not great at retaining talent due to this.

I worked at Vistaprint full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Recruiters were amazing at planning events for Interns
People were great to work with, usually very helpful
    Laid back, flexible with hours

    Cons

Projects were very hit or miss (some were great, some were not so great)
Manager was not very helpful, very little feedback until the end
Honestly felt lost for most of my internship

    Advice to Management

As someone's first internship experience, I would have liked more direction, more direct feedback. It was hard to know what I was doing wrong until told very bluntly at the very end.

I have been working at Vistaprint full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    * Great office building and location
    * Great set of people to work with
    * Geeky folks if you like working in a tech environement
    * Company benefits - Friday happy hour (View), free lunch trucks and some celebration or other.
    * truely high tech with WiFi, Mobile access etc
    * No WFH but flexible schedule as long as you get the job done.

    Cons

    * Cimpress is the technology hub and Vistaprint is now a marketing organization.
    * Vistaprint has too many middle managers. These managers are figuring what and how to do things. Painful
    * Work takes too long to get done.
    * Not investing in building technology but more so buying and integrating.
    * Team working in all directions which keep changing.
    * Leadership is not true to what they say and very loosey goosey.

    Advice to Management

    * Better focus
    * Be transparent in communication
    * Rely on core principles to move company forward
    * Take risks

    I worked at Vistaprint full-time

    Pros

If it was 5/6 years back, then this place was truly one of the best places in the Boston area to work for.
-1 month sabbatical after 5 years
    -Work/Life Balance depending on org
    -Wonderful coworkers
-Large Capital budget that truly enabled the best of the best in terms of infrastructure, resources
-Autonomy depending on your position and org

    Cons

Senior Management had truly no idea what certain groups/orgs did. Major successes were never communicated up, saving the company $$ would never reach the top if you had a management team that never communicated up and even if they did, it was rarely applauded

Continuous reorg, shifts in strategies, lack of overall communication
-Good ole boy/girl network. Its all about who you know. You can do no wrong and or do nothing and be unaffected by any changes.. i e. constant/massive transitions

    Advice to Management

Look at the top, rather than the bottom. There are some great senior leaders but most don't care about the folks that work hard for them. No guidance, no leadsership and they mainly just play the game that was PGM. Get the story, get promoted on the backs of their people and move on.
