I worked at Vistaprint full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits that range from 401K matching to Food Truck Wednesdays. There is a game room with air hockey, pinball, and ping pong along with some gaming systems and on-site laundry. Free coffee and beverages in the kitchens at all times.

The technology used is second to none. Video calls to speak with colleagues in Tunisia, Germany, Jamaica, and all other locales is phenomenal! This makes traveling to remote sites and meeting people face-to-face so much easier than if calls were held over a simple bridge.

    Cons

The culture at Vistaprint really has seemed to change over the past couple of years, which has been extremely evident after their U.S. location moved from Lexington, MA to Waltham, MA. In the past 11 months, there have been three layoffs, with the most recent impacting over 180 people.

I have been working at Vistaprint full-time

    Pros

Overall employee benefits package was really good considering paid time off PTO (vacation), medical insurance, dental insurance and other benefits; we used to have Fun Fridays during spring to fall months.

    Cons

Culture used to be really intense for mid-level employees but much easier on newer employees ; starting out through two years.

I have been working at Vistaprint full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible, smart people and great mission. Very customer driven and technology backed. Waltham location isn't great but could be worse.

    Cons

Lots of churn on projects, functions in silos. Lack of clear incentives and limited growth opportunities. Very large organization that feels broad and lacking focus sometimes.

    Advice to Management

    Align more cross-functionally

I worked at Vistaprint full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - You'll be surrounded by smart people who care about their work
    - Abundant opportunity for professional growth
    - Travel to Barcelona and various domestic locations is common
    - Great benefits and perks (food trucks, on-site fitness classes, etc.)
    - Gorgeous office to enjoy
    - Agile, process-driven environment (see also: Cons)

    Cons

    - Consistent restructuring/reorging, less ability to move up in title as there once was
    - Risk-averse, fear-driven marketers who don't like to try new things
    - Focus on process is cumbersome and sometimes comes at the detriment of the actual work

    Advice to Management

You've been making some smart, innovative moves over the last year and a half. Keep it up and don't get bogged down in process or be afraid to take chances. There are some very smart, creative people at VP - let them soar.
