    Cons

The location - it is quite far off from the city. Though there are public/free commute options. Quite a few changes / re-org lately.

I worked at Vistaprint (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefit. Nice perks. Smart people some of which has no work ethics and hard to deal with.

    Cons

There are too many changes in a short period of time. people lose their jobs due to rapid and continuous changes.
too much hypocrisy. No transparency. Lay off of considerate number of people few times a year.
Employees among some teams bully each other in order to climb the ladder faster. No privacy in the office space. If you stay there just to get stabbed in the back.

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes to what is going on in this daycare.

I have been working at Vistaprint full-time

    Pros

Lots of challenging work as company moves to scale up and modernize technology. Aggressive moves being made to refactor codebase, get into open source / 3rd party and focus instead on core specialties. Printing industry and customization problem for products makes this different than standard ecommerce web site selling inventory of products from catalog.

    Cons

Some of the above are also cons - large, old codebase in need of modernization. Lots of projects, prioritization is a challenge.

    Advice to Management

Help streamline prioritization of work for technology department, don't fill backlog with too many projects and competing priorities which have defocusing effect.

    Pros

it was a great fun company with AMAZING culture

    Cons

the great Vistaprint culture is largely gone by now, the audacity has been replaced with fear and unhealthy competition

    Advice to Management

time to update that recruiting video - most of our colleagues from the happy party scenes (including the Canada Day one) are GONE, restructured, laid off, gone to find better places.

I worked at Vistaprint full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Well structured environment with lots of formal processes that are great for learning about the industry.
    - Marketing team has many subsets of departments that allows for specialization & depth of knowledge; also helpful for cross-team projects to have hyper-specialized individuals.
    - Clear hierarchy & career progression
    - Corporate, but still fun with a great culture
    - Thorough interviews which lend well to cultivating a company comprised of talented & smart individuals

    Cons

    - At a more formal company, there is more risk of being pigeonholed as a subject matter expert, and less opportunity for management development
    - While formal processes are great to track and plan, they can be frustrating when trying to move projects along quickly.

    Advice to Management

Focus on employee retention and financial benefits for current employees in addition to making the company a fun place to work.
