I worked at Vistar Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great co-workers & free food.

    Cons

They unfairly restrict benefits, and do not disclose this before you sign up. You believe you're receiving a competitive offer...but you're NOT. Basically if you use all your sick time, then you're canned. Why allocate 6 days, if I can only use 3 days before being disciplined? Everything must be approved by corporate, and Buyers are negatively marked for making changes to computer generated PO's. Corporate does not trust their Buyers/Merchandisers. EXTREMELY OUT DATED ERP SYSEM (DOS). TOTAL JOKE.

    Advice to Management

Trust your employees, be more upfront with your sad benefits, and spend the required $$$ to update your systems! Plus your break room is super depressing! Upkeep your facilities better.
