I have been working at Vistatec full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Nicest people I've ever worked for. Understanding, promote from within, genuinely care about you as a employee. I've been with them for years and would do it again. I've never seen a company bend over backwards for the customer

    Cons

Ireland needs trust US teams members a bit more

I worked at Vistatec full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Have you ever realized how many good reviews suddenly appear whenever a negative one is posted? This is amazingly clever.

    Cons

I had to leave for a 3 weeks sick leave due to heavy health issues (partially triggered by work). Upon telling my manager I needed to go to the hospital ASAP, she asked if I still had time to hand things over first. Upon returning, she mostly explained to me that I really put them in a difficult position. Need I really say more to you about how much you should avoid that company, ignoring any good review you might...

    Advice to Management

If you do not care, admit it. But stop damaging people for the sake of your career and end of year bonus. How you can face yourselves in the mirror at EOB is beyond me.

    Pros

The U.S. office is closed now

    Cons

Everything was wrong, management doesn't have a clue.

I have been working at Vistatec full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Flexible working arrangements, people can work at home when needed, and a good few employees are working remotely – all over the globe. Work is interesting, with a lot of opportunity for people with initiative and drive. The company is still small enough that your voice gets heard all the way up the chain, and staff is kept informed on company development. Lately also some good initiatives around social activities. Pay...

    Cons

Company size puts some limit on advancement – only so many places you can go, but expect this to change as the company continues steady growth.

I worked at Vistatec full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The people are great who work there on a personal level. They have the potential to do great things. Asking for constant pay cuts, staff still performs despite the let downs

    Cons

Bad management decisions. Running a business requires listening to your employees and empowering them to be creative and succeed. For the last 7 years the company has struggled to pull themselves out of the hole with no success. Sales operations are a shambles as those hired to lead sales aren't qualified. Managers and leads are appointed but aren't allowed to make decisions. Project managers, and finance people...

    Advice to Management

Leadership needs to lead and be loyal to employees if they expect loyalty in return. Hire the right people and do what's needed to retain them. If employees are quitting or not successful in a certain group, start looking at the leader of that group. He or she may be the source of the problem, not the employee. And a manager who backstabs an employee to make themselves look good should be fired.

I worked at Vistatec full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Vistatec was on the whole a good place for me to advance my career as project manager. I improved significantly my communication skills over email and on the phone with both vendors and clients, which has proven extremely valuable in my next roles. I also learned a good bit of Excel through the countless hours of spreadsheet project tracking (I heard this has changed a bit for the better now) and overall gained a deep...

    Cons

I never felt like I could put my background in Localization to much use while I was there. Having experience serves close to no purpose when you work with sales reps and clients who lack understanding of translation. In fact, it can work against you: as a project manager in Vistatec, I had little influence over the services sold, vendors used and delivery terms, so I would find myself at times coordinating projects I...

I worked at Vistatec full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Many young motivated global professionals pass through this company so it offers many opportunities for networking, sharing experiences and making friends from everywhere in the world.

    Cons

No need to hold a PhD in content analysis to spot the impersonally fake positive reviews on this company. Vistatec is a terrible employer, the only thing they are good at is marketing themselves as being what they are not: cutting edge, transparent, and inclusive. The internally developed tools provided are out of date, unsuitable for the job and often just don't work. Vistatec is completely behind in terms of systems...

I worked at Vistatec full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Working from home privileges are useful (but HR only grant it if they like you) I made some good friends (who have all left now too)

    Cons

Poor people management and completely unsupportive HR. If you get on their bad side they will make life hard for you. I've heard of several cases where staff reported bullying and no action was taken. Issues raised in exit interviews by staff leaving are not addressed. If you have a problem HR would rather you just quit. Salaries are very poor and generally not enough to pay rent and have a decent standard of living...
