I worked at Vistex full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, nice people to work with

    Cons

Losing great people all the time because they do not pay according to skills, the level of work and client load/engagement needed. They are just luke warm with employees and there is very little room for advancement. It's a great starter job, for a few years, but that's it! They need to invest into more employee development and growth.
Everything is fine until you try to leave - boy do they not like that! My last 2 weeks (for notice) were awful! Managers stop talking to you, talk negatively behind your back and even after you've left! You're managers! You should be happy to help develop your folks and people leave - it's a reality, please behave as managers should.

    Advice to Management

Develop your internal talent - invest in them financially and career development wise.

I worked at Vistex full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Unfortunately, there was nothing about working for Vistex that was positive for me. I loved the people I worked with and had been with hawkeye (acquired by Vistex) over 10 years, but after a year of life as a Vistexian, I knew it was definitely not the place for me.

    Cons

Chicago calls all the shots, and all those shots are called by the owner/CEO. There are other senior executives, but they can't seem to make a decision unless Sanjay approves it first. Creates a seriously dysfunctional system. "Frugal" doesn't begin to describe how penny-pinching this company is. SAP funnels opportunities to Vistex which means Vistex doesn't (or didn't when I was there!) understand outbound marketing or why that might be important. They also had a very difficult time understanding sales cycles since the sales function as an SAP partner was handled by SAP. Pay is below market, raises are a pittance, and the micro-management is over the top (and hey, don't forget to donate to the CEO's pet philanthropy because otherwise HR will be hounding you daily).

    Advice to Management

Manage. Develop an interest in industry knowledge and strategy. The company is being suffocated with the current policy of running all decisions by the ceo.

I have been working at Vistex full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers are very nice. They try even though the culture from the top down is strange.

    Cons

Very strange culture. Middle & Upper management are just 'Yes Men' blindly following with no thoughts of their own. Sanjay (CEO) is very nice but I sense he is prepping the company to be sold.

I have been working at Vistex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    health benefits are not bad.

    Cons

Software is severely outdated. Same clients have all the same problems and no solutions are provided for them. Sales makes big promises to clients and don't end up delivering.

Company is cheap in e very sense of the word. Corporate does not like to spend a dime for employee needs.

Upper management basically micromanages and provides no real leadership. You are only an asset if you can trick your clients into being billed for extra product training hours.

There is no real sense of development for front line employees. Think of this organization as a stepping stone to your next job. There is very little in terms of career advancement opportunities.

If I were you, I would steer far away from this organization. Chances are you can do much better.

    Advice to Management

    provide leadership!
