I worked at Vita Coco (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was a cool new company when I first started. Great people and a solid product. The branding ideas and locations really helped launch this company. The initial promoters who got no love once they expanded, really made this company bloom.

    Cons

I worked for this company for over two years, while doing promotions, sales and getting to know the market. Then a manager was hired above me , the manager had no promotional or branding sales experience but due to connection/ family in upper management in New York, was hired to manage the territory I had worked in for over 2 years. It was awful and a slap in the face. This place from my experience is all about nepotism and brown nosing.

I worked at Vita Coco full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Very laid back
    Very fun & interactive
Allows you to make connections in the community
Ability to learn and connect with others in your position across the US
Room for growth and advancement within the company

    Cons

    No real training program
Managers are out of the area and are not easily reached at times
No real outline of do's and don'ts
Very new initiative in the company and not a well put together program

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the needs of a MAM who is alone in a market and is new to the position!

A vehicle is a MUST for this position. I didn't have a car at the time so trying to do activations was extremely difficult.
