I have been working at Vivint full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is based on what you install so you make money in little time. Summer is the only season required to work for technicians and you make enough money to support yourself for the rest of the year. Working year round is optional.

    Cons

Travel. Being away from home for long periods of time.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

I have been working at Vivint full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nothing but good things to say. You get to work from get given a work truck, company phone and tablet. As long as you out in what you want to get out of it you get recognition. You can't half way anything here or it's not for you. Love the home vs work life comparison

    Cons

Any where you go your going to have negative employees and people who only want to do the minimum.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing. I couldn't have a better job if I tried to find one.

I have been working at Vivint full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I was stuck at a dead end contracting job when I applied for Vivint. Here I am over a year later and I absolutely love the company. The training was great. The company provided everything I needed to get started. I love being able to interact with so many different customers all the time. Our office covers a large area so some days I spend more time driving than doing actual work but that's fine by me because I'm paid for it all. I can honestly say I don't have a single legitimate complaint.

    Cons

Every company has something to complain about. I think the biggest complaint I have is occasionally inventory issues occur. Also some of the folks we deal with on the phone could definitely do their job better to help us do ours better

    Advice to Management

    Train main office people better

I worked at Vivint full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy quick money especially if you are in college

    Cons

Move every summer to a different location and can get wearing
Except for a few reps, most sales guys are entitled and over promise which make it very difficult when dealing with the customer
    Work around 70+ hours
There are not many opportunities to move up and most managers have invested to much money to quit. (The company provides stock for them, but it is lost if they leave)

I graduated from school and tried to get a "corporate job" there but they only hire their buddies.

    Advice to Management

Give credit where credit is due. Most incentives are for sales guys and technicians not so much.
Be more female-friendly when it comes to hiring.

I have been working at Vivint full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Management are personable, respond to questions, concerns. Flexible scheduling with outbound staff. Inside Deli, benefits, responsive HR.

    Cons

Due to commission structure pay far less then average customer service related hourly. You can make a high base but changes occur constantly.

    Advice to Management

Need to be more competitive with base pay. Quality of rep and quality of service would improve.

I worked at Vivint (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy job, located in Best Buy.

    Cons

Horribly managed, pay plans change often. Hired in at $17/hr received a pay cut before I even received my 1st check!!!!! Then dipped further and took money from a previous check from the one I was currently being paid

    Advice to Management

Actually learn how to mangage, create schedules in advance not on Monday. Coach your employees, when your short handed don't make your employees work 60 hrs + while you clock less than 40 a week.
