I worked at Vivo (Brazil) full-time

    Pros

You get to learn a lot. There are lots of opportunities for those who work pro-actively. Internal movements is also common. Salary is comparable to industry rates, hence smaller than other industries. Promotions happen, especially in new areas.

    Cons

Culture is very "corporate". Lots of processes and some bureaucracy. Beware if you don't tolerate that. Cafeteria is not great. It has never been. If you are a 9-6 type of employee, don't expect to be promoted quickly.

    Advice to Management

The industry is mature - work hard on providing great customer service. Focus on customer and keep doing what you are doing.

I worked at Vivo (Brazil) full-time

    Pros

Benefits (were better), time flexibility, it's possible to accelerate your carrer faster, many opportunities in many areas inside the company. Global career was hard but possible.

    Cons

Some managers are very distant from the employees, maybe because there's a lot of turnover in management level (you will have a new boss every year). The culture was good, but since the acquisition of GVT the company began to cut costs (firing the older teammates and hiring junior level people).

    Advice to Management

Be closer to your team, work together with your employees, not only demanding tasks. Make them feel part of the solution.
