    Pros

Everyone that works here is incredible. Everybody is welcoming and as an intern everyone wanted to see me learn and grow. All employees wanted to have fun but took their work very seriously. Best internship I've had yet!

    Cons

    No cons about this experience!

    Pros

Vladimir Jones has an incredible "work hard play hard" culture. You will make a few life-long friends and generally enjoy coming to work everyday. If you are just getting started in the agency world, look no further. This company will open doors for you in the future.

    Cons

Creative + Media teams are often left out of critical strategic client conversations. A company that is largely run by an extremely empowered Account Service team. Struggling to win new business because the CEO is far too involved in the RFP process.

    Advice to Management

Streamline the RFP process and then simply get out of your own way. It's quite clear for prospective clients to see when a HIPPO adds no value to a pitch.

    Pros

Great people, and good leaders, though not always for the team you're on. Opportunities for those that take initiative and are willing to do the work. Ultimately, this company cares about its employees and is a good company to get started in the ad agency world. Lots of smart, fun people.

    Cons

Leadership across teams is inconsistent, salaries are below average for the industry/market, frequent reorganizations cause confusion on role responsibility and muddies expectation.

    Advice to Management

Keep your staff informed on what's going on, why and spend money to keep good people on board.

I have been working at Vladimir Jones full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Generally a good good group of people to work with. Some good accounts where you can apply your creativity. Pretty laid back environment. Dog friendly.

    Cons

Very silo'd, with creative running the roost. Going through multiple management fads in how the agency is run. Definitely favorites amongst and within the different departments, but doesn't every company have that? Lots of turn over happening lately, due to lack of any growth opportunities which says something, with seasoned people being replaced by junior (read: cheaper) staff. New review system leaves a lot to be desired and seems more as a way to mud sling and deny raises than offer constructive development points. Can be a very system heavy place for such a mid-size company.

    Advice to Management

Really listen to what the staff is saying and doing, there's good ideas there that can help the agency.

I worked at Vladimir Jones full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I made great friends in a really negative environment.

    Cons

Does not allow for work life balance. Does not appreciate employees hard work. Does not hold individuals accountable for not putting in a good work effort. There is a favorites system. Leadership is not involved, and makes decisions and changes that negatively impact employees and work flow. Has not won a significant amount of new business in years. Is not an inspiring place to work. Firing Squad Fridays is a real thing.

    Advice to Management

Strive to better empower your employees to do their best work, and when they do recognize and be thankful for all they do. Stop treating your employees as dispensable numbers. Hold people accountable for the good work they do as well as the people who take advantage of others hard work.
