I worked at Vodacom Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Remuneration is good, interesting challenges to solve, colleagues in general are intelligent and a pleasure to work with; work life balance in my division was good (highly dependent on line management)

    Cons

Vodacom is like a large oil tanker ship - i.e. not agile at all. Lack of co-ordination between divisions and infighting is common. Good end to end strategy in place - execution of it does not always happen. HR is not impressive at all

    Advice to Management

Focus on vision and execution. Offer staff opportunities; stagnation will lead to the loss of valuable skills

I worked at Vodacom Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Opportunities to develop applications, bonuses

    Cons

Too little permanent staff members are employed and given career paths with real opportunities, strategy and governance is lacking
