I have been working at Vodafone full-time

    Pros

The benefits are top notch, with generous vacation time and a superior maternity leave policy. The personnel are among the most dedicated I've seen and there is a strong sense of community.

    Cons

Management and department structural changes occur frequently, leading to constant shifts in business focus and unnecessary process alterations, taking attention away from the work at hand.

    Advice to Management

Place an increased focus on ensuring the actual work required that delivers results is completed, rather than emphasising the frequently time wasting reporting that says the work is getting done

    Pros

Large multi - technology and multi - geographical location. Offers great opportunities to work in a challenging but innovative environment. Offers lots of opportunities to drive new ideas, products and customer solutions.

    Cons

Too many layers of management and a lot of contractors mean that there isn't enough investment in internal talent.

    Pros

In the US, Vodafone Americas employees seem to full of excitement compared to their European counterparts. I guess it is somehow a reflection on how regional economics are playing out now.

    Cons

There seem to be a thick layer of F-band managers, especially in the UK. They sometimes overlap responsibilities and many get too hung-up on titles.
