I have been working at Volt Consulting Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Free drinks - Right next to Microsoft campus - OK work environment - Given direction when needed - Everyone here is fun to work with - Great opportunities for advancement, just as long as you show the interest - Get to work at your own pace

    Cons

    - Little to no benefits - Holiday pay is based on how many days you work in a row without missing a day or being late - The benefits offered after x amount of time is mediocre - Management has little to no experience with the product that is being supported - Large amounts of babysitting when first starting, regardless of knowledge of product

I have been working at Volt Consulting Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Was given the impression this was the place to go for full time work recommended by an executive recruiter.

    Cons

Only part-time employment, no benefits, not enough work. People with degrees and management skills need not apply because they will tell you to look elsewhere. And give your resume back to you with a shrug of the shoulders as if they do not care about people.

I worked at Volt Consulting Group for more than 8 years

    Pros

Mostly hands off from HR. Personal experience depends on company placement.

    Cons

Little to no benefits. Understaffed for the amount of employees the company HR is responsible for.

I have been working at Volt Consulting Group for less than a year

    Pros

Cool to work for a company like Apple and weekly pay. Can't think of many pros. Oh you do get paid.

    Cons

No benefits. Will be quitting soon. Very crappy pay at $15/hour. No time off. Not schedule worth the pay. Often hook you up with jobs no more than $14 or $15/hr. Cannot stand the stupid rules Volt has on their employees. They are very non compromising and they don't work well for Disabled veterans.

I have been working at Volt Consulting Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very friendly and quick to find placement. They were able to find a location quickly that matched what I wanted to do.

    Cons

Little contact while placed in position. Lower income than market value normally. No vacation days/sick days. No retirement matching. Essentially no benefits is the con.

I have been working at Volt Consulting Group for more than a year

    Pros

contract position so taking time off was never an issue.

    Cons

Upper management outright lied and promised full time position with Volt after 6 months. After asking manager multiple times when full time would be available, I was told there was a hiring freeze and the new CEO was not going to hire any more full time employees which meant no benefits while employed with Volt, no raises and no paid time off such as holidays and vacations. I do not recommend working for this company. It is a joke. Once you sign the contract, you are bound to that pay rate. I went two years with no raises because I was considered part time. But they wont hire you full time so you wont get any pay increases. That is how they justify not giving raises. DONT sign with this company.
