I worked at Volt Consulting Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Volt is a staffing organization which focuses on team building and some of the more social aspects of a good work/life balance. Employees were often treated and given recognition for good work / behavior.

    Cons

Volt pays under market for their positions. Additionally, the company went through a major re-org in 2015, laying off 100 employees, selling their corporate HQ and some lesser known business units to stay afloat. Additionally, while the culture on the surface was good, there was a lot of finger pointing and blaming lack of success on others. Also Alcohol was very liberally ingested during almost all work functions, which can be fun but in this company often resulting in childish behavior and arguments.

    Pros

The Accounting team worked very well together and had a decent work-life balance.

    Cons

If you've been there a while, you already know what to do and managers are pretty hands off. However if you're new, there's not a lot of guidance and you can feel lost
