          Pros

This review for Volt Workforce Solutions in King of Prussia PA. The only pro to working for them is leaving. They lied about the job, the length of the job, the working conditions, benefits, etc. The courtesy they show their human capital is as if we’re day labor, riding around in a van, picking fruit for cash instead of seasoned contractors.

          Cons

Hired on to do data testing during a massive database implementation project with supposedly at least a year’s duration in Wilmington, Delaware. Instead of the data testing, I was forced into doing the company’s version of “SOP documentation,” which was creating Word documents from Powerpoint, Powerpoint docs from Word, and so on, after the first hired to do that quit. The company’s real estate is so poorly managed that...

          Advice to Management

You will never retain quality human capital if you don’t change your business model. Your salesforce is great at getting the big jobs, but your recruiters are thugs.

I have been working at Volt Information Sciences full-time for more than a year

          Pros

You can find some useful and nice coworkers to work with.

          Cons

Processes, tools, ideas, work methodology and management style are from several decades in the past. There is a lot of people in management positions that have been decades in the company and because of their tenure, not their talent and skills to be in that position are managing the company. A great majority of them are unfriendly and see the new generation of employees as a threat.

          Advice to Management

Refresh your corporate management team, particularly in key areas like Finance, Human Resources and Legal. That would make you competitive and would bring a really productive work atmosphere, which would help the company to achieve its ambitious goals.
