I worked at Volvo Penta of The Americas as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are numerous legitimate reasons why Volvo Penta is an outstanding company to work for. These reasons include an outstanding management team, an overall fun (yet challenging) work environment, and the newfound knowledge I ultimately obtained. I worked for Volvo Penta in Lexington, TN as a Finance Intern. I cannot begin to describe the impact this place has made on my life.

    Cons

I can't agree with Volvo having "Cons," but there are many challenging situations in your average workday here. I can promise you that it will result in increasing your knowledge (especially pertaining to basic management procedures, financial analysis, forecasting, inventory management, etc.).

    Advice to Management

Management was fantastic. I thought the (engine) process was fascinating, so I'd recommend explaining it a bit more perspicuously.

I worked at Volvo Penta of The Americas (Less than a year)

    Pros

The job perks and small work environment are nice. The salary was also a nice job perk with many internships in the area being unpaid.

    Cons

There is a lot of drama internally among different employees and many people bad mouth one another and there bosses. It was pretty sad to see.

    Advice to Management

Work internally on building your teams because departments have trouble working together because they don't believe in one another and don't like working with one another.
