Work is interesting, coworkers are nice and helpful, benefit is ok, PTO is super nice!
Sep 3, 2017 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
-Although I can't move from group to group easily, I may choose things that interests me. --Coworkers are very helpful to each other and never hide things. --On site small gym has enough equipments and very nice classes --PTO is 4 weeks for new hire! Unheard of in bay area. I think this one is the biggest attraction to me. For companies that offer unlimited PTO, that is a joke coz nobody dare to ask for PTO (that was what I heard)
Cons
--need better medical benefit, or less expensive medical benefit --no espp

Pros
Great culture driven from the top down. Great products that work and customers need, want and love. New office is a big hit with some great amenities. Benefits, 401k matching, salaries and commissions are great. They treat people well.
Cons
It is a great place to work so can't think of anything bad to say except don't lose it with the Thales acquisition.

Solid Products, Great People, Decent Compensation
May 28, 2015 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The company has some solid products that win on technical merits, and is growing aggressively to market and promote their new / old products. The management and the employees are professional and capable.
Cons
As the company grows aggressively on all fronts (products, territories, etc.), it needs to better transition the existing employees to handle the growth (through training, rotation, attrition, etc.)

Pros
Great product that the market acceptance is continuing to grow. Insider threat and cyber security is a hot market and Vormetric has a unique product that is not easily competed against! Strong senior leadership and market positioning.
Cons
Core technology is great. Expansion up the stack to application encryption is a logical evolution.

Great experience at an ordinary company.
Aug 8, 2008 - Software Engineer in Santa Clara, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Variety of technical experience gained in working on the companies software products. The company has 2 basic product (security and encryption) that are supported on Windows and all major Unix platforms. These products require substantial development effort at both the kernel (operating system) and user application level. This is very marketable experience.
Cons
Management expects round-the-clock efforts to resolve customer issues and is oblivious to the impact this has on individual employees. No acknowledgment of the effort is given at the conclusion of the crisis.

Not a company big on employee morale or hosting fun events/lunches. Outgrowing office space, having the share small offices.
