I have been working at Vykin full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Left alone to work on contracts. It is great if you want to just collect money and work your contracts with little to no interaction with your parent company. Decent pay, 6% 401k amongst other medical benefits.

    Cons

Was sold on a job description and when I joined I realized I wouldn't be with anyone else from my company and that I wouldn't be doing what it was said I would be doing. I felt like I was filling a billet so my company could collect the overhead check money on my seat.

Vykin also took control of my clearance in JPAS while I was still employed at my former employer. It took two months for it to cross over and my former employer found out I was leaving a month before I was able to join. They don't bring you on with overhead to avoid this awkwardness.

    Advice to Management

Management was understanding of my situation but they should do a better job telling people what exactly the opportunity they are going into is. They should also not be so pushy when it comes to signing offer letters when they make you wait for 2 months before you can start.

    Positive Outlook

    I worked at Vykin full-time

    Pros

Great Benefits, Owners care about the business and the people that work for them. I saw first hand how much effort they put into picking everything from benefits, to New Hire "swag". A lot of detail and thought goes into taking care of their employees.

    Cons

Smaller business. So depending on where you work, you may not have opportunity for advancement for quite some time.

I have been working at Vykin full-time

    Pros

Small company that makes you feel part of it's success, not just an employee number. Takes time to do the small things that matter.

    Cons

Small size can limit growth opportunity, but can be offset with future growth possibilities of the company.

    Advice to Management

    Keep operating the same way.

    Pros

Great Teamwork. Helpful HR Dept. Christmas parties were fun.

    Cons

Spend more money on parties, "bling" and less on salaries.

    Advice to Management

Take the money you spend on flying around to see your employees across the globe, and use it for bonuses and higher salaries.

    Pros

The company is not so big that even though you don't directly work at the HQ that you'll know most of the other people, at least when I was there. The company does very well in my experience, in taking care of its employees and making sure that you put in the best position possible to accomplish your job.

    Cons

Sometimes due to the nature of the business, administrative processes can be slow and frustrating. However, the majority of these issues seem to originate from those involved outside the company itself such as the client.

    Advice to Management

Paid leave while deployed overseas would be a good benefit to have
