I have been working at W. R. Grace full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You are given the opportunity to take something and run with it and if you do well you're asked to take on more. Senior leaders do not hesitate to give positive feedback. It's a very positive environment. At Grace they trust you and treat you like an adult.

    Cons

I have none right now. I could not be happier. I have a great commute, pay, benefits, coworkers and job content.

I have been working at W. R. Grace full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Benifits
    Compensation
    Work/life balance
An actual pension fund; not just a 401k
    Easy commute

    Cons

    Cafeteria is kind of expensive

Bldg. 100 is very nice, but some of the other buildings could use a makeover; some of the older buildings haven't been updated since the 50s.

While 401k and pension are great; health insurance is kind of pricy.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the 401k match and pension plan.

Grace has gotten smaller through spinning off different pieces of the company, but they've always seemed to maintain the belief that they'd rather have a smaller highly skilled work force, who they keep around by providing great benifits, retirement, and generous compensation, than the constant turn over that comes with poor benifits and salary; which is nice to see in the corporate world. A lot of people at Grace have been here for 30+ years for a reason.

I worked at W. R. Grace as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The engineers were awesome and used the internship to teach me as much about engineering they could. I was not a coffee gopher.

    Cons

I would have liked to get more into engineering than i did but time wouldnt allow.

    Advice to Management

Promote internships with you company for engineering. Your locations are smaller than most factories and would be great for students.

I have been working at W. R. Grace as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great culture and overall internship experience. I feel better utilized here than at previous internship and can see possibilities of full time positions.

    Cons

I do not see many cons of this internship sometimes my manager is very busy and when I finish my work I have to wait a little for a next assignment, but I feel this is common at most internships

    I have been working at W. R. Grace full-time

    Pros

Great company! The people are excellent and willing to collaborate on projects. My time here has been a pleasure as opposed the other bureaucratic establishment I came from. This company is filled with smart, innovative people and I cannot wait to see how all the change we are going through propels us into the future.

    Cons

With the changes, work life balance can sometimes be challenging, however, it is up to you. Management is in full support of work life balance.

    Advice to Management

Keep your head up and continue doing what you are doing....
