I worked at W.W. Grainger full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They value professionalism, reports of harassment are dealt with swiftly, good benefits especially for employees who stay for years, fair severance packages for those laid off

    Cons

Like many companies, they cut positions where they can, even during their times of record profits. As with many large companies, there's room for improvement regarding communication and collaboration among different departments.

    Advice to Management

Value all employees who do quality work, and prioritize finding how best to leverage their skills, before deciding to let them go. This approach will boost employee morale across the company, and enhance the company's reputation.
