I worked at WAI (Weidlinger Associates) full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The variety of types, complexity and execution of projects was challenging and rewarding. I was for the most part self managed and allowed to apply my education, skill and knowledge in a great many ways while I was there. The work, coworkers and immediate management were what kept me there for Nearly 6 years.

    Cons

I was the CAD/BIM Coordinator as well as the Structural Designer. I was basically a CAD department by myself for typically 3 to 10 intense fast paced projects of varying types, complexities and delivery methods. When I needed help upper management had me perform my own resource analysis and never followed thru in getting the help I needed. I reached burn out a number of times during my time with Weidlinger Associates.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to preform the analysis expected of them and follow thru in responding to the business need.

    Pros

People are friendly. Senior management people are not uptight and provides flexible and relaxed work environment for work.

    Cons
