Pros
The people are really good people. I enjoyed working with my fellow colleagues! It's very neat to work at a TV station and see how the magic happens. Also, it's a well known TV station and is good for the ego!
Cons
Too many management meeting that left managers unavailable to staff that needed assistance or approval on things. Ad rates vary so much and it can be difficult to justify to customers(part of the business in general, but still difficult). At the time, there was a shift in many upper management positions, which made this position seem shaky and employees felt uncertain about their futures.

Leaving was my favorite part of working here
Cons
Incompetent management kills any hope that talented employees have of finding success here.

Pros
The pros were you got a paycheck and had a lot of downtime to do basically whatever; watch TV, read.... Actual work time probably boiled down to 2 hours in an 8-hour shift; more if you worked the morning shift.
Cons
No accountability for producers if they were friends of the News Director. Constant mistakes were never corrected. Management is more concerned with style over substance. It really doesn't matter how well you do your job, it's what job you do that determines whether you'll keep your job. Every current employee I talk to now talks about how horrible it is to work there now.

Pros
The work environment can be fun. It's LIVE television.
Cons
Consumers are moving away from the TV medium. Making it less effective for advertisers.
