I have been working at WEC Energy Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people who work very hard. Flexible hours and we have to option to work remotely, if needed. Overall good pay and benefits

    Cons

Some roles do not have a lot of room for advancement. I do not have a lot of negative things to say about my experience so far

I worked at WEC Energy Group (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Work for a paycheck is the only pro at this company that I am able to provide to the pro.

    Cons

Manage by fear! Every document starts out, you are an at will employee, and you can and will be terminated if You don't adhere! Lead by fear. They have no leadership in their arena. A bunch of accountants making money for shareholders..that's it. Nothing else. They turned WPS 16 hr storm restorations into 4 days. They have no skilled employees anymore because the good have left. We Energies Leadership sucks. Stay clear.

    Advice to Management

    Quit.

I have been working at WEC Energy Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Co-workers are great. Company does care about the customer service.

    Cons

Company does not invest any money into its employees. No training. Not many career opportunities. Very little flexibility on schedules, work/family balance. In their view employee is just a resource that can be easily replaced by another consultant (and they do have a lot of consultants on their billing rolls). Average pay with average benefits.

    Advice to Management

Instead of spending all that money on consultants that deliver poorly designed solutions, invest some time and money into your internal workforce.

I worked at WEC Energy Group full-time

    Pros

    My coworkers were very nice.

    Cons

Management was crap. When acquired there was poor communication by the new parent company.

I have been working at WEC Energy Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good coworkers, but that's about it.

    Cons

More and more work being piled on to less and less people.

    Pros

As an intern, they give you a pretty good overview of the company including all the different departments. I interned at Peoples Gas and got the chance to learn about 3 different departments of my choice and also got the opportunity to visit the Shops and study the field operations which gave me a pretty well rounded view of the company.

    Cons

Some of the employees I interacted with didn't come off as very motivated or happy with their jobs

    Advice to Management

Pay closer attention to the needs of your employees.
