I worked at WIS International part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Weekly pay, travel, interesting work in stores.

    Cons

Differing hours (I liked that, but not everyone does), sometimes store customers get confused and think a WIS employee works for the store that is being inventoried.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees' suggestions about travel in company vehicles.

I have been working at WIS International part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The job is easy enough, if you can use a scanner then you can do the job. You have to be accurate and follow directions given by the inventory manager on site. Weekly pay.

    Cons

Sporadic assignments for part-timers. No benefits. Your first and last hour of carpool travel time is unpaid. Not enough training to learn all the features of the scanner to increase your productivity. This is a retail industry job so the hours are either late at night after stores are closed to the public or very early morning before stores are open to the public.

    Advice to Management

Hire full time inventory associates and provide better training to use the scanner to increase the count per hour numbers.

I worked at WIS International part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours ..workers all had great attitude's

    Cons

No set schedule ..irregular hours.. poor management

    Advice to Management

The company needs to spend more time on training.. for example, what is the best way to count store large freezers pull the merchandise or just guest the amount of the unseen product

I worked at WIS International full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Little supervision - trusted to do your job
Challenging - finding alternative recruitment resources was a great experience
    Great support from fellow ARTs
Upper management supported you to try new avenues to market positions

    Cons

Turnover is high so there is never enough time to succession plan or work on other projects
Upper management pushed recruitment by demanding bodies to fill the open positions and neglecting whether or not the candidate was truly a good fit - this contributed to the high turnover.
Inventory Associates felt like they were breaking their back for supervisors that didn't show up to inventories on time themselves. They felt undervalued frequently.

    Advice to Management

Take the time to hire the right person, not just the soonest available. Create a supportive environment and recognize those that are working hard. The inventory associates job requires support, Without it, they will leave and turnover will persist.
