I worked at WMS Gaming full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

No more Pros at this time only Cons. The company is a sinking ship about to go to the bottom of the ocean and collapse into millions of pieces like the Titanic.

    Cons

The company got rid of almost all the top executives of the company except for a few after the first two merge/acquisitions, which I don't understand why?? What's so special about these executives that the company kept and got rid of all the others who are more educated and better fit for the company? These executives are useless and have absolutely no knowledge about casino games and lottery what so ever!!!! When something goes wrong, a good hard working employee will get all the heat and get fired, while all executives will be saved. These executives patent new inventions that were someone else's idea. That is an easy no brainer job. These types of executives need to go out the companies main door sooner than later and never come back, especially when dealing with them. These executives are: mean, selfish, useless, simple minded, bullies that are also greedy and well over paid!!!!!

    Advice to Management

Wake up and get rid of these top executives that you don't need!!!!!!! Why waste money on them when you already have someone else doing the same work under them anyways!!!

    Pros

Nice Chicago campus, plenty of off street parking. Hot Dougs used to be across the street. The river doesn't smell too bad.

    Cons

Managment egos bigger than brains. Creepy left wing socialist vibe (they think it's hip). Wants you to be loyal to Managment, but no reciprocity. Unless you kiss butt, no recognition. If your a golden boy (Or girl)you have it made, if not you get to work 60 hr. Weeks and get a kick in the pants.

    Advice to Management

Hard to think of 20 non swearwords about WMS managment.
Love to play the blame game. Anybodys fault but mine. Always looking for a scapegoat.

    Pros

There are none anymore it has become a prison.

    Cons

Pretty much everything you could think at this point.

    Advice to Management

Start over. Remember the time Gamache shut down the company to reemerge as the powerhouse in the industry. Those days are needed again.

    Pros

there's a really nice Chicago campus

    Cons

the company is doing very poorly after their merger with Scientific Games, layoffs are happening left and right every few months, recovery after the most recent merger with Bally is looking very bleak, which is causing a poisonous company culture with no morale whatsoever

    Pros

None because they sold out their own company to Ballys and left about 5000 people suddenly unemployed.

    Cons

Aside from the above, they treat their employees as disposable commodities. Their financials have been a loss position in the last 3 year years, due to their sales people selling vapor wear, i.e., software and games that were not ready to be rolled out. The accounting dept had no policies or procedures, leaving the external auditors scratching their heads. This company should have be put to bed long ago, since they struggled with even the basic fundamentals of a corporation - much less a public one.

Some of these people spent 10+ waiting to lead them and not have to scramble at every quarter. This is the worst group of management I've ever seen.

    Advice to Management

You sold out to the highest bidder, took your millions and left. You have no morals or ethics and you certainly don't care about the people that worked around the clock to help you make every quarter, Now, you've sold everyone out took your millions and ran like the cowards you are. You've treated everyone of your employees, especially the ones that manufacture your games and left them with nothing. I hope you can sleep at night with your millions because karma is b.

Management culture is highly political, poorly motivated, and looking out for themselves only.
