    Pros

Very talented and hard working employees. Lot's of creative development and desire to make great products. Nice facilities and on site amenities.

    Cons

Lots of focus on post-merger integration, consolidation, and cost reduction. Following recent merger each division has different ways of doing things and it takes time to align processes.

    Pros

No Pros at all. WMS is not what it looks like outside. It could do lot better with right Management.

    Cons

Consultants in HR only look for whats best for them.
Had to fight to move my resume forward. (Discrimination)
HR was not even aware of e-verify. Got e-Verified recently.
Old Habits die hard. WMS need a change in HR.
No Growth. In other words "to go to many lengths to look impressive, good, and worthy towards another person".

    Advice to Management

With the acquisition. New start... now its time to do an overhaul in HR and WMS. Old habits die Hard.

I have been working at WMS Industries full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Pretty good benefits package
    Decent time off policy
Fair to good overall compensation package
    Promote continuing/further education

    Cons

    Poor communication
Too man chiefs, and not enough indians
Lacking in overall leadership/direction of company
    Putting out different fires everyday
    union workforce

    Advice to Management

Take control and give direction. The overall direction of the company seems to be changing on a nearly monthly basis. We need to take the time to properly analize our sub tier suppliers abilities before making firm commitments. Also, we need less single sourcing.

    Cons

Executive leadership, politics, non strategic thinking

    Advice to Management

Think long term, rid yourself of WMS Sr Leadership (they drove it into the ground).

    Pros

Cool technology in a unique industry - and a pretty different office setting surrounded by artists, musicians, developers which offers great diversity.

    Cons

Slow to adopt/accept change or ideas from elsewhere. Highly political atmosphere with clear favorites. Great place to work if you're an engineer, but if you're looking for a professional environment - this isn't it.

    Advice to Management

Come down a few thousand feet to see what employees are thinking/feeling/needing.

    Pros

Opportunities to try and fix the many things wrong. They do offer competitive benefits outside of salary. Potential growth in the business.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Innovative, Creative, Bleeding edge, employee appreciatation cookies, good benefits, on-site gym, very smart people willing to take sensible risks, willing to provide the proper training/education.

    Cons

Every three to five years they have massive lay-offs, 10%+ of the work force. Poor communication from the top manage down to the worker bees.

    Advice to Management

Upper Management needs to communicate the business strategy to everyone in the organization. You would get many answers to the question "What is the direction of the company?" The direction of the company seems to change every quarter.

-Good Low level & director level Managers

    Cons

-Employee benefit is of least importance.
-HR is non-existent & thus company driven by managers.
-No Promotions , Bonus or Salary hikes. Last 5 years 5% (average) hike given to high performers.
-India gets all the poor quality work which all the other centers have refused to accept.
-Leaders only make promises but rarely fulfill them.
-Too many changes in Upper Management, hence no stability.
    -Too many VPs.

    Advice to Management

-Listen to employee opinion and act on it.
-Upper Management should understand the local cultures rather than enforce US mentality on all centers .
