      Pros

      WOW! has leadership with a significant focus on culture and it’s people. My experience has been excellent, not without its bumps in the beginning, but it’s a very engaging culture with a family like atmosphere that grows on you over time. I know that’s sort of an cliche, but it’s very much a united feeling of “Hey, we’re here to work, but let’s be awesome to each other and have a place that you don’t mind coming to everyday.” Additionally there’s some amazing perks like 6 personal days each year on top of two weeks vacation with an extra week accumulated every five years. The benefits are pretty good with 401k matching 4% to your 5%. There’s numerous other perks including tuition assistance and some role specific rewards. While most people might start at entry level like myself, there is endless potential for those that seek it here. We also have real positions like technician, sales rep, call center agent, engineers, architects, human resource positions, accountants, etc… this is not some small company looking to churn and burn employees. One last thing is that we’re moving towards cutting edge technology and continue to grow where other companies can’t keep up so job security is there.

      Cons

      This is a real business, that means they have long term goals and long term employees. Because of that turn, turn over is low which means it could be a few years before an opportunity presents itself. That can be a long time for some looking to move up quickly. Additionally, field positions with hourly rates can pick up additional shifts, work overtime or achieve performance bonuses while salary positions typically don’t have these options to make an additional amount. I will say though there is a program in place for employees facing hardships that can help if needed. Also, while 95% of WOW! lives the culture and sees the vision you could encounter a local director or manager that hasn’t fully embraced WOW!’s values. Though those are extremely rare and WOW! does an excellent job helping up-skill those who need it.

      Project Manager

      I interviewed at new company for the same role I currently do, so I have all the skills they need and more. I went through 5 stages of interviews, including pp in person and final 1 was on Friday over week ago. I was expecting to have news by last Friday. No news, so I emailed them last Friday asking for indication when can I expect the results,but we have Tuesday evening today, and no one emailed me back. This is the 1st time I have to wait so long after final interview for news-Should I worry?

      How long to typically hear back from a mid-sized company (200-300 people) after an initial interview? Their internal recruiter told me “a few days” and it’s been a week. Interview went very well (I thought!) Thinking of following up on Thursday if I don’t hear.

      Customer Service Representative

      A sign? Sheer luck, or coincidence? The stars are aligned? Is there a full moon tonight? I kid you not... I was in the middle of writing a follow up email to a recruiter for a job I applied to almost 2 weeks ago. As I was about to hit send, I noticed an email from that very company that arrived like a few minutes earlier with: "Next steps - Interview" *been off 13+ months, only 2nd interview. Wish me luck!!!🤞
