I worked at WPS (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Many promotion opportunities within a large company, above average benefits and solid pay grades

    Cons

    Culture, management staff, workplace bullying

    Advice to Management

Your employees are your company; sadly you have forgotten how to treat them like people.

I worked at WPS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

High security, policy oriented. Some new technology

    Cons

Oppressive culture. Punitive overtime policy. Management is just plain mean. Benefits are terrible.

    Advice to Management

I didn't encounter one person in management that cared enough to take advice.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at WPS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, weekends off. I love the challenge of my job and the feeling that I am given the opportunity to prove myself.

    Cons

Some entrenched thinking leads to fear in staff that have been around a long time; I think the earlier company personality was pretty punitive

I worked at WPS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are ok however on the decline. Able to learn a lot about government insurance

    Cons

Upper management pushed for high production with little care aobut providing great customer service. Unable to grow and advance as the promotions are based on seniority and not merit.

    Pros

Small company, so able to stretch yourself.

    Cons

Like most startups, it is just a LOT of work, but for me, it was incredibly rewarding.

    Advice to Management

The product is fantastic - and on the back of the Women's World Cup and the 2012 Olympics, the core audience for this product will build and grow.

I have been working at WPS full-time

    Pros

Worked at WPS for over 20 years. WPS has been very good to me and I have learned so much! Great co-workers help make a difference, Been in the military contract division for several years but like the private side better.

    Cons

With all the changes, which are necessary, the atmosphere is filled with fear and anxiety which makes work a challenge at times. Knowing that no one is safe no matter how long you have been there or how good of an employee you are is a little worrisome. Change is good but not having the proper training or tools to do your job is very unpleasant.

    Advice to Management

Make sure that the proper training is done so that employees aren't constantly putting out fires and fixing errors. Too much time spent on that and not enough production.

Communicate and hire more people, have realistic goals
