Great company to work for
May 27, 2023 - Leasing Specialist in Columbia, SCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good training, competitive pay, good benefits
Cons
None really. It's property management, so there's that

Pros
Management cares about their employees and their performance as well as their happiness at work. Pay is competitive, achievement is rewarded, and benefits are competitive also.
Cons
High expectations though not unrealistic. Ultimately this is a pro for accountability, because it keeps teams from falling behind

You *don’t* Matter!
May 2, 2023 - Assistant Property Manager in Jacksonville, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Everything is paperless, making processes and procedures seamless. Their luxury apartment complexes are beautiful and sells itself, minimal effort is required to impress prospects on first visits.
Cons
Company is as cheap as they get. All about saving a dollar. Their slogan is “You Matter” when you really don’t. Brought 5 years of high level sales/management experience to the team including big names on my resume and I had to fight for a barely livable wage. Assistant managers take the majority of the work for only $20/hour with absolutely no room to negotiate a higher base salary no matter how much research you present, experience you bring, or how much they tell you that they value you. This company is notorious for letting people go after they’ve put in their 2 week notice, and they do not have to pay you. Management is shady - they never wanted to be “locked into writing” with any kind of transaction that could’ve been seen as violating Fair Housing Laws or bent the rules in any way, but it always happened - all in the name of saving money. Regional management is constantly absent and not involved at all with your career path or career growth directly, absolutely very little interest in your career and results will be shown unless you’re losing them money. They use a vague JD for their leasing specialists that includes verbiage that basically allows them to make you do all this extra work without an obligation on their side to pay you more for additional responsibilities. Also, you’re an hourly employee there, overtime eligible, but they have said in writing that overtime is “not allowed” and will discipline you if you’re over hours. This place micromanages so much. You’ll get text messages on your days off from your manager, calls and emails that you’re required to respond to, and whatever isn’t responded to will be left for you to deal with when you get back, all while the staff and manager are more than capable to do the tasks themselves. Everything is delegated and nobody takes charge. If you’re okay with making mediocre money, sitting at a desk 40 hours a week and sometimes giving up your weekends and personal life, then this is the job for you. Especially if you like cheap and shady management and if you could care less about recognition for your performance.

Recognition is given where recognition is due
Aug 10, 2022 - Property Manager in Port Richey, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I got lucky.. Being recruited for this job was somewhat of a fluke, but I am so glad it happened. I have learned and grown so much being with WRH and I can confidently say that I matter to this company. They give recognition where recognition is due and they believe in their employees so much so that they give them all the tools needed to succeed. We have training, company wide competitions, awards, bonuses, routine zoom calls, gifts, & monthly employee highlights... and more. The hardest part of this job to me would be trying to keep everyone happy and dealing with unhappy residents. The most enjoyable part of my job are the residents.. When they congratulate us for doing a good job and tell us they wouldn't ever consider moving because they love the community and us so much. Hearing that all our hard work doesn't go unnoticed gives me a real sense of accomplishment.
Cons
This job is not for the faint of heart.
