On boarding through corporate is amazing. In theory the concepts wts has rolled out should be a great recipe for success

    Cons

Software is out of date and mundane
Communication is not honest or upfront
The execution of operational successes are unclear and diluted.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you can back up what is taught in onboarding.

I have been working at WTS International part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great upward mobility! Generally, very flexible schedule-wise, always understanding of conflicts. Good pay, I also collect gratuity. Interview process was very simple and quick.

    Cons

WTS is contracted by various hotel chains to manage different areas of the resort (Ex: Kid's Club, Spa, Member's Club, Fitness Center, Zumba/Yoga classes, etc.) Because WTS employees don't work FOR the hotel they work AT, we are sometimes disregarded by hotel staff and management, but on the WTS side, everyone is helpful, polite, and accessible.

    Advice to Management

I would like to see you stand up for the us. We are often taken for granted by the hotels. We have a small budget and I'd like to know how the money circulates.

    Pros

    Corporate staff accessible

    Cons

Inadequate pay for plethora of responsibilities

    Advice to Management

In lieu of hiring "outside", great talent lies inside this office :)

    Pros

The entire WTS Spa division is comprised of dedicated professionals who genuinely care about the success and growth of their spa directors.

    Cons

I honestly have not encountered any "cons" as of yet.

    Advice to Management

Again, I honestly can't give any advice to a company that has been nothing but a wealth of knowledge and direction for me. Thank you, WTS!

    Pros

A great industry to work in and specifically in the corporate office you have an ability to work side by side and with great exposure to upper level management. The office allows for employees to work very independently and with flexibility as long as work is completed. I love the opportunity for growth and the ability to expand your knowledge within your position and the overall company.

    Cons

The company is exponentially growing, which is a positive thing, however sometimes it can feel like you're drowning in your tasks and responsibilities.

    Advice to Management

Continue to do what you're doing, however also understand that one person can only do so much. Many roles in the corporate office are stretched very thin due to so many responsibilities.

    Pros

the collaboration between everyone at the corporate office is refreshing. I can go to anyone and they will do their best to help me, even if it isn't their expertise. The scheduling flexibility and option to work at home also helps with work/life balance. Most importantly, superiors are focused on growth and expanding and individual's knowledge and skills. I feel like an investment. The company is experienced in the industry having been around the block.

    Cons

At times, it seems as if there are not enough hours in the day or not enough personnel, probably the latter. There aren't enough employees or space in the office to hire more when help is needed, especially in the support roles. People are stretched thin and it seems like only one person 'does what they do'.
The technology and systems are outdated even compared to smaller companies.
As with most older companies, the management can lean more towards being old-fashioned and resistant to change

    Advice to Management

Since my time has been short, the biggest issue seems to be the reactive nature of the company. With the level of experience the executives have, forecasting for the future should be a necessity

I worked at WTS International part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Wonderful management, felt like I was valued as an employee, room for advancement and growth. Experience was more practical than experiences I've had in other companies...where "company policy" is set in stone.

    Cons

Not as much room for growth if moving. WTS has grown as a company since I left, so that may have changed. But I would have loved to move jobs when I moved. Management at different properties may be hit or miss.

    Advice to Management

Follow the lead of the managers that are doing well. My "main manager" was the BEST, which is why our team was so successful. Other properties could learn from that model.
