I have been working at WW part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working with members directly is the best part of the job.

    Cons

Constant changing of direction by corporation. Territory managers territories are too large for them to manage. Company promises full time employment but doesn't deliver on promise for most employees.

I have been working at WW full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The very best part of working at WW is the members. Being part of their transformation is such a privilege. The program is based on science. This inspires confidence.

    Cons

Corporate has horrible communication with the field. The pay is absolutely dismal — there is no incentive to stay. Someone with ten years of experience gets paid the same as a brand new employee. Much of the work is paid at minimum wage. The CEO makes 6000 times what the average field employee makes. No recognition. There used to be awards for excellence. Now there’s nothing. No bonus, no performance based raises, no perks. The labor model is designed to keep employees part time so full time field employees are forced to track every minute of work. No salaries field employees. Huge disconnect between corporate ideas and what field employees know will work. It’s like the right hand doesn’t care atval what the left hand is doing. Inconsistency. Since the majority of employees are part time the standard of excellence is incredibly low. ‘Hobbyist’ employees who are only there to ‘give back’ and get support with keeping their weight off are often not invested in the company and will only follow policies when their territory manager is present. Otherwise they’re out there in the field doing whatever they want.

I worked at WW full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Opportunity of growth - laid back

    Cons

worked in tech department for more than a year. During my time of employment there, Seeing the numbers of consultants increasing while expectation is to build a big in-house team is a disappointment. Some consultants are good, they help driving the projects to goals, but some consultants were incompetent, they have a skills of inexperienced fresh grad, they slow down the work, waste time in getting training for their next opportunity, get paid by hour, and do work of 25 hours while billing 40 hours. This really slowed teams down and made full time hardworking employees feel unappreciated and was major reason of why I left. Also massive outsourcing to offshore in hundreds is very unacceptable and risky.

I worked at WW for more than a year

    Pros

People in the non management positions are extraordinary people who put a lot of work n to a company that doesn't recognize the contributions that they make to the company.

    Cons

The corporate company does not care about customer retention based on the way they treat their call center employees. Corporate would not hire a full time on sited desktop support for their call center. The corporate people in NY expect a technician with excellent skills and knowledge and to stay with the company on a contract basis. with no change in the contract from year to year and no bonuses and no holiday pay or overtime pay.
