      Pros

You get Weight Watchers and E-tools for free. All products (except magazines) are half off. You get to interact and help people with their weight loss journey.

      Cons

Little pay, but I don't do it for the money.

Haven’t had pay increase in 4 years!

      Pros

Wonderful co workers and flexibility with the schedule. Awesome members. Doing something I really love and have a passion for. Believe in the product and love helping people.

      Cons

Haven’t had a pay increase in 4 years. Our coach hasn’t had a raise in 12 years! WW corporate takes advantage that you live your job and will keep doing it without any pay raises. Corporate has unrealistic expectations of what really happens in the meetings. They have terrible software programs and expect us to make it work. Lots of wasted time in reports that we doubt anyone ever looks at. Will spend tons of $$ on renting a hotel for a yearly meeting but doesn’t have $ to give raises to anyone.

program works; work enviornment is toxic and unproductive

      Pros

ww program helps people & empowers them to do things they couldn't and wouldn't do before their weight loss journey. ww program does help people transform their lives. program is rooted in behavioral and food science flexible hours/summer fridays / ability to work from home in most departments not all departments created equal

      Cons

too many structural changes. no stability and thus no ability to meet your goals (and get your raise or title change) as they are constantly shifting over the year lack of communication from product/data/marketing tech teams and insight into new processes before they are already implemented minimal collaboration . or people simply do not respond. lost our personality and values with new executive hires. cutthroat environment. a lot of unhappy underlings. too much workload so no ability to be creative, reflective, or strategic. might be better for an outsider coming in (you'd get hired as a VP!) vs someone who has actually been dedicated to the company not sure what our HR department does but it isn't to support employees

      Pros

Fun to help people reach goals, wonderful co workers

      Cons

The pay is embarrassingly low for all we are responsible for. We are the face of the company but are not compensated at all. NY (Corporate) has no idea what actually goes on with members in the meeting room.

Change CAN be good...but too many or the frequency takes a toll on everyone!

      Pros

I enjoyed working for WW! The other staff and the members kept us connected as to WHY we were working for whatever compensation we were given. Helping people feel success and reaching personal goals is very rewarding. Great food program and member loyalty! Great benefit package for Full-time employees!

      Cons

When Senior management comes from within, they "get it" and keep the foundation strong for what WW was founded upon-group support, driven by people who have done it, and then made it into a business. Taking the focus to the numbers and just a business approach had a negative effect. Too many changes too often and asking for more and more for the same money-training/responsibilities. Talent can't make it on a very PT salary-we have to work a full time job to pay the bills which leaves a PT hobby taking a lot of time/effort for a meager return sadly.

      Travelers vs Centers

Nov 18, 2008 - Receptionist in Durango, CO

      Pros

The best reasons to work for WW is that you get to help others lose weight. You have been in the same place they are because you once walked through that door to lose weight and you know how it feels, also it helps you to stay on programs as well. I love seeing people lose weight and helping people get to their goal. To change people's lives is the best pay you can get. The people you work with are also lifetime members and love being able to help others as well. We are in the business of changing lives and getting people healthy.

      Cons

Those who work in small towns and have to set rooms up and take them down get the same pay as those at Centers.

Great weight loss program, not a great company to work for

      Aug 1, 2014 - Receptionist
      Recommend

      Business Outlook

      Pros

helping people lose weight and get healthier, having nice coworkers, interacting with members, having confidence in our weight loss program and knowing it is not a gimmick

      Cons

poor wages, Corporate has little connection to field staff, technology is way behind (both internal technology and member product technology), poor inventory management--products constantly on back order, wasteful shipping, high expectations, low morale, lack of transparency
