I worked at Waffle House part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Free waffles... That's about it....

    Cons

Typical server wages with an abundance of untipped work responsibilities (food prep, washing ALL of your customers dishes and the dishes of the cook, cleaning bathrooms.) If you don't have customers you are required to clean constantly at 2.23 an hour. Seems unethical and illegal. I served there for 4 years doing this crap.

    Advice to Management

Managers are great for the amount of stress they are under. My advise is to corporate; treat your employees better, pay them fairly.

I worked at Waffle House full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Please place is not very busy

    Cons

Tried to get a friend a job working at the Mesa AZ location and though she had 20 years of waitress experience and could run circle around some of the other employees the manager hinted that people (customers) prefer younger waitresses. She is only 49 and looks 35, and I have had the pleasure of working with her at a previous employer, she can handle twice the customers with better service. Sad this company has lost not only a great employee but also I will NEVER eat there again. Shame on you waffle House.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Waffle House part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The person there were very nice and welcoming to a newcomer in the industry.

    Cons

I was laid off because the "manager" did not answer the phone after being called over ten times ! I have a family to provide for and my lights cut off the night before ; which meant I would have to go to the Tupelo Water and Light in Tupelo, MS. Literally up the street from where my family abd I live and pay that fee to get them turned back on. So i tried calling and there was no answer. After five minutes had passed i called again. Still no answer.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is to please keep in mind that people have lives outside of your workplace. People have children. People have bills to pay. We are ALL human and we ALL make mistakes...Even managers, supervisors, parents; EVERYONE.
