    Pros

Relaxed atmosphere. Decent compensation. People in billing department, in Billings, were great to work with. Had a lot of great drivers who were also great people.

    Cons

Have a more consistent schedule of performance reviews and have a schedule of when pay raises could be anticipated by employees. But that did depend on the economy.

    Advice to Management

Keep the rates we charge the customer for his freight to move simple and low. Don't centralize too much as that may do away with the personal touch for our customers.

    Pros

Good cents per mile if can get the miles. Good home time on regional most weekends.

    Cons

Won't give you enough miles especially if on regional route usually get sent to their different terminals and setting for couple of days with no down pay waiting on a load

    Advice to Management

Get new dispatcher that don't play the buddy system and treats all drivers equal

I worked at Waggoners Trucking full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No pros to this job other than it was a job. Cant speak for all yards but houston sucked

    Cons

Dont get paid for all the work you do from long haul to short haul unless your buddy buddy with who ever fills out your time card. ( lots of written in time on time cards so that you do not exceed certain amount of hours ). Miles are off times are off . Some get free hours . H.R. doesnt care or they would notice it . How does local p&d drivers end up with more hours than dispatchers or yard crews . Dispatch tells you where to go yard crews load and unload you .. long haul guys should be asleep but bosses will have them pick up local freight ..hire you for one job have you do 5 pay you for one . Long haul driver cant find yard crew members to help load or unload . Pay doesnt reflect cost of living in certain areas.

    Advice to Management

Dont believe everything terminal managers say .listen to all employees no matter what their title is.

I have been working at Waggoners Trucking full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    * Casual atmosphere and dress.
    * Work out facility in house.

    Cons

*HR policies are hostile to the employee. For example Your first year of employment you accrue 1 week of vacation and 3 sick days. If you use a sick day, you must take the first day out unpaid and then will receive sick pay on your second day. This applies every time you call in sick.

*No flexibility with work hours and very strict about employees not be late.

    Advice to Management

A happy employee culture creates positive morale which results in greater productivity and satisfaction for both employees and customers.
